Alignment Works is founded by myself - Louise Todino. My experience has taken me from the arts and dance world, co-directing a company, founding charity and Community Interest Company to working in the Civil Service. 

In all these environments, I enjoyed observing and addressing ‘work place culture’ the most. I have seen how quickly a place can shift and push people to places they don’t want to be. I have also seen that, whilst often undertaken with the best intentions, building trust and accountability into any environment is not easy. It can be clunky and awkward, which can prevent honest conversations, weaken relationships and ultimately do a huge dis-service to ourselves and others. These two values that we assume we understand, know how to navigate and, quite honestly totally underestimate, are central to all of our work.

Addressing culture in any work environment is challenging. Many existing services can cost a huge amount of time and money which smaller organisations and charities cannot afford. Having been through many CPD programmes, up skilling, coaching and training, it became apparent to me that streamlining the three threads and passing on practical skills would also create refreshing shifts in the workplace.

 

My hope is to offer a space where companies and individuals can reflect and take responsibility for a healthy future. In doing so, I help create culture change in organisations and a greater sense of purpose in people, however big or small.
